...night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. - 2 Timothy 1:3, NIV

Revival Starts With Prayer

Recognition and Praise to God: The biblical principle of reciprocity brings God's infinite power, love and wisdom like Living Water flooding into the earth through our love, worship and prayers to God. According to our sampling, over 90% of the students studying science and many of the faculty at Harvard U. are atheist/agnostic. The students are the new forerunners now being generated by Harvard to lead the world in the understanding of God's creation. We, as a non-harvard affiliated local group, want to support students who have a passion for transforming Harvard by calling it back to its rational, godly roots. We hope to raise up generations of godly forerunners from Harvard who put loving God first through prayer, praise and worship and Bible study. Then we need to apply our spiritually transformed intellects, hearts, and souls to loving and building up Harvard and also their neighbors the same way Christ loved us.

Experience fulfillment and purpose: Prayer is not a boring recitation of holy sounding words. It's the way we connect with God and bring his infinite power, love and wisdom onto the earth. Because of God's great love for us, he wanted to bridge the gap, originally caused by Adam and Eve's sin, which was now between us and himself. God became a human like us, in Jesus Christ, in order to relate with us on our own level and bridge the gap between us so we could directly connect with God through his Spirit. Now we can experience the fullness of God's love and the transforming power of his Spirit. In other words, we were designed by God to be the most fulfilled and alive when we are connected to Him and His infinite power, love and wisdom in prayer and praise. This is why mankind is always seeking for love, entertainment, fun, exhilarating experiences, knowledge, and internal peace. God made us this way. However, man-made attempts to fulfill these cravings are never satisfying. Many people are looking for a crutch or self-medication such as alcohol, drugs, or sex to deal with internal brokenness or pain. But, when people experience the fullness of God through prayer, praise and Bible study, everything else pales in comparison. If someone were to interrupt you in the middle of this kind of true, Spirit-filled prayer with an opportunity of your most exciting human-level experiences, the choice would be simple: There is nothing like connecting with God in Spirit-filled prayer! 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. - NIV

Relieve anxiety: Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." - Matthew 11:28-30, NIV; Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. - 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, NIV

Become a better student: For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. - 2 Timothy 1:7, NIV; Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. - Romans 12:1-3, NIV; Buy the truth and do not sell it; get wisdom, discipline and understanding. - Proverbs 23:23, NIV

Change the world: The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. - 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, NIV; Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. - James 5:15-17, NIV; "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men." "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:13-16, NIV

What We Are

"If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all." - Mark 9:35, NIV

We are a group of individuals who are devoted to loving Christ particularly through prayer and then devoted to loving one another with Christ's love, according to the Bible. Jesus Christ is the head. A true human leader has no agenda but to be like Jesus Christ and to point others to Christ as the head. Leaders are a high integrity example of Christ in their personal life to others, exhibiting humble service to God and to others. They devote themselves to befriending, serving, empowering, and building up others according to their individual needs and unique, godly calling. Leaders are examples of submission, purity, listening, understanding, and serving and loving of others. Leaders submit to others and serve others, they do not demand others to submit to them. Everyone agrees to be devoted to prayer and seek to work together to be transformed completely into the likeness of Jesus Christ with all of their heart, soul, mind, body, and strength.

What We Stand For

Truth: Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil. - 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22, NIV; Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. - Matthew 5:6, NIV; All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, - 2 Timothy 3:16, NIV; learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow. - Isaiah 1:17, NIV; ...speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. - Ephesiand 4:15, NIV

Reason: Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, - 1 Peter 3:15, NIV; "Come now, let us reason together," says the Lord. - Isaiah 1:18, NIV; So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Greeks, as well as in the marketplace day by day with those who happened to be there. - Acts 17:17, NIV; For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. - Luke 21:15, NIV; Answer a fool according to his folly, or he will be wise in his own eyes. - Proverbs 26:5, NIV; He will turn their own tongues against them and bring them to ruin; - Psalm 64:8, NIV; The wicked are trapped by their own words, but the godly escape such trouble. - Proverbs 12:13, NLT; "All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish." - Isaiah 41:11, NIV; Present your case," says the Lord. "Set forth your arguments," says Jacob's King. "Bring in your idols to tell us what is going to happen." - Isaiah 41:21-22, NIV

Love: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind' ; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" - Luke 10:27, NIV, (Also see Matthew 22:37 and Mark 12:30); Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, NIV

Purity: I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. - 2 Corinthians 11:1-3, NIV; Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. - Matthew 5:8, NIV

Humility: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. - Matthew 5:3-5,7, NIV; "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all." - Mark 9:35, NIV; Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. - Philippians 2:3-4, NIV

Unity: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Matthew 5:9, NIV; "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift. - Matthew 5:23-24, NIV (Also Matthew 18:15-17 and Galatians 6:1-2); ...prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. - Ephesians 4:12-13, NIV

Building up others: Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. - Ephesians 4:29, NIV; From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. - Ephesians 4:16, NIV
